The year 2021 came to an end and we wanted to close it with a big beam straight back into the 70s. Together with the photographer Lisa Knauer from Hamburg and an amazing team of creative freelancers, such as the designer Isabelle Mann form ‘Faible and Failure’ and the stylist Lesley Sevriens, we created the fashion editorial FUNK PHENOMENA. It is a wild and splashy mix of vintage clothing, high fashion brands and fair fashion brands. Our models are the german actors Maximilan Mundt, Giovanni Funiati, the model and dancer Wendy Kesicki and the model and set designer Anne Zarske. The photoshoot took pkace in the amazing showroom of ‘AIN’T NO TRASH’.

the sisters yusra and sara mardini. both were swimmers, who fled syria in 2015. yusra became a member of the refugee olympic team and swam in rio and tokio. both are activists. the netflix movie “the swimmers” is about their life.
